We have updated the look product code of our AW106PT (now TJ-250P); however, be assured that all the specifications of this machine are the same as those of our tried-and-tested AW106PT.

This machine is an economy version of a European-style planer/thicknesser, and it is a real space saver in the workshop. It features flip-up tables for conversion to thicknesser mode, and the tables have noise-dampening slots to help minimize noise while machining. Along with urethane rollers, a serrated steel infeed roller on the infeed side is standard. The European-style alloy cutterhead guard allows you access to the timber when being planed while still using your push blocks for maximum safety.

As with all machines of this type, we highly recommend that at least a 2HP dust collector be paired with the planer/thicknesser. This will increase the machine’s efficiency and minimise dust and shavings that need to be collected after machining the timber has stopped.

The 3-knife straight cutterhead features HSS knives that can be easily removed and sharpened. A spare pair of blades should always be on hand so you can swap them out, sharpen the old blades and replace them with your spare set. This reduces downtime and increases productivity.

The JP8B is a heavy-duty 200 mm (8″) jointer designed for demanding tasks and high-volume workshops. With a full-length 1780mm cast iron bed and powerful 2.2 kW  [Input]  motor, this machine offers the stability, accuracy, and cutting capacity required for professional joinery and cabinetry work. The longer bed provides superior support for long stock, improving the straightness and overall finish of your joints.

Fitted with a  helical cutterhead fitted with 52 four-sided tungsten carbide inserts. These cutters dramatically reduce tear-out — even in difficult, curly, or highly figured timbers — and leave a smooth, near-finished surface that requires minimal sanding. Compared to conventional straight blades, helical cutterheads operate more quietly and produce a cleaner cut with less vibration.

The JP8B includes a robust rack-and-pinion fence system for quick and accurate adjustment, a fully enclosed base for safety and dust control
