The Wood Lathe MC-1018 whilst still being a small lathe can be increased to a useful length with the optional bed length extension, when fitted the bed length is extended to a maximum length of 1.150 mm enabling the operator to turn an object as long as table leg or as short as a thimble.
The all cast iron construction provides stability and is extremely durable, power transmission from the motor to the spindle is via a 6 section ribbed/grooved belt ensuring superior power to turn large objects. The 5 spindle speeds range from 500 to 3200 rpm with quick access to the stepped pulleys from the rear of the head stock to effect the belt change.
