This dust collector is great low cost option for a workshop when several machines need to be extracted at the same time. It has a 3 hp motor driving a fully balanced heavy duty fan/impeller constructed from mild steel and has a rated air flow of up to 1900 cubic feet per minute [+ or - 10 percent, the flow could be lower and is dependent on the length and diameter of your suction pipes]. It is has twin top and bottom nylon filter bags, the bags measure 560mm in diameter by 850mm deep and are held in place by an over centre clip type steel strap. The dust collector has a 150 mm inlet and is supplied with a triple splitter - 150 mm to 3 x 100mm.
TIP
SUCTION STRENGTH : It is important to keep the length of the suction pipes to a minimal yet still workable length, longer runs and reduced diameter of your suction pipe or pipes will cause a dramatic drop in the up suction pressure at the end of the pipe, the best similar practical example is to say that if you were asked to place a 50mm length of garden hose in your mouth and breath through it, you would be OK, however if the length of the same hose was increased to two or three meters then you would not be able to draw in enough air to survive.
