This is a rugged and well made mill drill with impressive capabilities and ideally suited for a serious home engineer, school manual arts department or for the small professional workshop.
The twin V-belt belt drive head is very quiet in operation compared to some geared head mill/drills, there is the choice of 12 speeds in the range of 100 to 2080 RPM.
The head is easily moved up or down the column by a sturdy rack and pinion drive, once in position it can be secured with the clamp bolts. The quill which holds the drill chuck or end mill holder is able to be moved up or down via the three levered handle ~ in the same fashion as a bench drill, this handle is able to be locked and the calibrated fine down feed hand wheel enacted for precise detailed milling operations.
The table has four T slots for securing a vice or the work, the compound table is positioned to it's desired location by three large hand wheels and there are movable stops to set the left to right movement of the working table. Standard equipment includes a 63mm diameter facing cutter, 13mm drill chuck, arbor, drift and service tools. The machine can either be bench mounted ~ [Please note the weight of 270 kg !] or on the optional floor stand.
